The opportunity

We are seeking an innovative and collaborative AI Enablement and Governance Lead to help shape the future of Artificial Intelligence across our organisation. This is a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of AI adoption, driving responsible AI practices, developing enterprise-wide capability, and helping identify and deliver impactful AI solutions that improve business outcomes and customer experiences.
The position
Reporting to the Manager Information and Cyber, you will act as the central point of coordination for AI strategy, governance, use case management, capability development and benefits realisation across ReturnToWorkSA.
Key Responsibilities
- Developing and maintaining the organisation's AI roadmap and implementation plan.
- Identifying and prioritising AI opportunities that improve productivity, customer outcomes and operational efficiency.
- Leading AI governance activities, including policy, risk, compliance and committee coordination.
- Driving organisation-wide AI adoption, engagement and awareness initiatives.
- Establishing AI communities of practice and champion networks.
- Coordinating AI literacy, learning and capability uplift programs.
- Supporting the end-to-end delivery of AI use cases and benefits realisation.
This is a full-time, three-year fixed-term position.
About you
You will be a strong communicator who can bridge the gap between technical and business stakeholders, translating complex concepts into practical and valuable outcomes.
You will bring:
- Experience leading technology adoption, change or transformation initiatives.
- Knowledge of AI governance frameworks and responsible AI principles.
- Experience working within a regulated environment and navigating governance and risk requirements.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, influencing and communication skills.
- Ideally a background that understands the data platforms that drive AI solutions
- The ability to identify, assess and implement AI opportunities that deliver measurable value.
- Experience with Microsoft Copilot, Azure Foundry AI Salesforce Einstien or similar AI platforms will be highly regarded.
