The opportunity
This is a unique opportunity to lead the delivery of an enterprise-wide Data & Insights Strategy within a purpose-driven organisation supporting South Australians. You will play a pivotal role in shaping how data is governed, managed, and leveraged to drive better decisions, improved performance, and sustainable outcomes.

Working at the intersection of strategy and delivery, you will oversee key initiatives that uplift data capability, governance frameworks, and enterprise performance, ensuring data is trusted, accessible, and aligned to organisational priorities.

The position
Reporting to the Leader, Data & Insights, this role is responsible for defining and embedding data governance practices, managing data quality and performance, and overseeing the end-to-end lifecycle of enterprise data. You will lead a small team and work across the organisation to prioritise and deliver high-impact data initiatives.

The role includes driving the data roadmap, managing competing demands across business units, and ensuring reliable data ingestion, preparation, and reporting—primarily through the Snowflake platform. You will also act as a key advisor, translating complex data concepts into meaningful insights for stakeholders and leaders.

This role will be a full-time fixed term contract for 2 years.

About you
The ideal candidate brings strong experience in delivering data and insights strategies in complex or regulated environments, with deep expertise in data governance, quality, and performance frameworks. You are confident leading change, influencing senior stakeholders, and balancing competing priorities to maximise value.

You are a collaborative and capable leader who can simplify complexity, build capability in others, and drive continuous improvement. With a strong focus on outcomes, you combine technical expertise with strategic thinking and a genuine commitment to enabling better decisions through high-quality data. Demonstrated experience in implementing modern data platforms (Snowflake) will be highly regarded.
