The position
As a key Project Manager in the D&IG (Digital and Information Group) Core Delivery PMO, you will get the opportunity to:

  • Deliver technology and business-technology projects end‑to‑end, on schedule, within budget and meeting ReturnToWorkSA and SA Government quality standards.
  • Manage complex projects across the full project lifecycle (PMI / PRINCE2) and SDLC, using best practice tailoring to guide methodology and delivery approach.
  • Manage and coordinate large project teams, including internal staff, vendors and delivery partners.
  • Build, develop and maintain relationships with multiple and varied stakeholders.
  • Engage closely with business and IT stakeholders to align on scope, value, priorities, risk management and delivery expectations.
  • Manage full governance, finances, schedules, resourcing, RIDAC and reporting (including Executives and Steering Committees).
  • Identify and manage risks and issues, dependencies and delivery issues, escalating and providing options to stakeholders and sponsors where required.
  • Join a passionate team of project management professionals.

This is a full‑time fixed-term position for 2 years.

About you
You thrive in a culture of care, professional excellence, and accountability. You’ll bring:

  • Demonstrated experience delivering IT projects from the initiation through to closure phase, internally in organisations, working closely with internal business and IT teams.
  • Proven end‑to‑end ownership of internal complex technology projects as lead or sole Project Manager, with large teams of 20+ across durations of 6-18 months.
  • Strong people skills, particularly with non‑IT business teams, in a face-to-face and hybrid working model.
  • Willingness to learn, desire to contribute to successful project and program management, and humility to build your skills and experience.
