The opportunity
ReturnToWorkSA is seeking a Health and Safety Project Advisor to support delivery of our Health and Safety Strategy and key wellbeing initiatives. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on safety culture, psychosocial risk management and legislative compliance within a purpose‑driven organisation.
The position
Reporting to the WHS & Wellbeing Consultant, you will provide project and advisory support across WHS and wellbeing initiatives. You will contribute to strategy delivery, provide practical WHS advice, support risk and incident management, assist with training and consultation activities, and help embed continuous improvement across the organisation.
This role is part-time (22.5 hours per week) fixed term contract for 2 years.
About you
You are a capable and motivated WHS professional who enjoys working in a project‑based environment and partnering with others to improve safety and wellbeing outcomes.
You bring demonstrated experience in health and safety advisory or project roles, with sound knowledge of Australian WHS legislation, regulations and codes of practice.
You have experience contributing to WHS and/or wellbeing programs, projects or strategies and are comfortable supporting activities such as risk assessments, incident investigations, consultation, training and continuous improvement.
You communicate clearly and professionally, build strong working relationships and take a proactive, solutions‑focused approach. Most importantly, you align with ReturnToWorkSA’s values and are committed to modelling best‑practice safety and wellbeing in line with our role in the community.

Our services and those delivered by our claims agents are designed to provide early intervention support to workers and employers following a work injury to ensure the worker can recover and return to work as quickly as possible. In addition, we are the regulator of the Return to Work scheme and play the key role of protecting the integrity and fairness of the Scheme by monitoring and enforcing compliance with the Act and providing education and support about the health benefits of work.

The total remuneration package for this position starts from $120,369 (exclusive of superannuation), calculated on a full time basis. Salary is pro rata for 0.6 FTE. The final offer will be commensurate with the successful candidate’s qualifications, skills and experiences.
