The position
You will provide expert advice across end‑to‑end procurement and contract management activities. Reporting to the Manager Procurement and Contracts, you will support business units to plan, source, negotiate, and manage procurement in line with ReturnToWorkSA processes, probity expectations, and SA Government obligations.

Key aspects of the role include:

  • Guiding stakeholders through procurement planning, sourcing, tender evaluations, negotiation, and documentation
  • Offering specialist advice to ensure best‑practice procurement, commercial value, and risk mitigation
  • Maintaining accurate contract records and ensuring compliance with Treasurer’s Instruction 18 and government reporting obligations
  • Partnering with business units to support vendor management, contract performance, variations, disputes, and operational contract enquiries
  • Supporting continuous improvement through reviewing templates, tools, policies, and procurement processes
  • Contributing to a culture of professionalism, collaboration, and high customer focus across the Finance and Investments Group

About you
You are a confident procurement professional who brings strong commercial acumen, sound judgement, and a collaborative style. You thrive on partnering with stakeholders, navigating complexity, and providing clear, practical advice that supports effective decision‑making.

You will bring:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and proven experience in procurement, contract management, or commercial advisory
  • Demonstrated capability in commercial negotiations and influencing at senior levels
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present advice, reports, and recommendations to executives or boards
  • Understanding of risk management principles and their application in procurement
  • Working knowledge of public sector procurement frameworks, probity standards, and contract management practices
  • A continuous improvement mindset with the ability to review workflows and implement enhancements
  • Strong relationship‑building skills with the ability to partner, guide, and support diverse internal stakeholders

The total remuneration package for this position is starting from $120,369 (exclusive of superannuation). The final offer will be commensurate with the successful candidate’s qualifications, skills and experiences.
