The opportunity

Join a high‑performing Capability Team that enables ReturnToWorkSA to improve outcomes for injured workers and their employers across South Australia.

The Capability Advisor enables RTWSA’s Insurance strategy by identifying capability risks, planning future workforce needs and embedding practical solutions that build a skilled, sustainable workforce to drive scheme performance and continuously improve the claims experience for injured workers and their employers.

Working closely with internal RTWSA teams, agents, stakeholders and the broader Scheme, you will turn strategic plans into action; developing and operationalising initiatives across learning, professional standards, attraction and retention, customer experience, claims management and workforce performance. You will lead and contribute to a suite of capability projects that strengthen performance.

The position

As a Capability Advisor, you will:

  • Partner with internal teams, Claims Agents, and key stakeholders to design and implement practical capability solutions
  • Identify workforce and capability risks and translate insights into clear, actionable initiatives
  • Deliver programs across learning and development, professional standards, attraction and retention, customer service, reward and recognition
  • Support the planning, reporting, and performance monitoring of capability initiatives
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of claims and customer experience outcomes

This is a full‑time, ongoing position.

About you

You will bring:

  • Well‑developed stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Analytical thinking and attention to detail
  • The ability to research, synthesise insights, and present information clearly
  • Experience managing multiple priorities and delivering outcomes
  • Strong organisation and planning capability
  • Experience in workers’ compensation and/or HR (desirable, not essential)

The total remuneration package for this position is starting from $120,369 (exclusive of superannuation).

The final offer will be commensurate with the successful candidate’s qualifications, skills, and experience.
