Apply your financial accounting and investigative expertise in a dynamic environment. At ReturnToWorkSA, the Financial Investigator role plays a critical part in maintaining the financial sustainability of the Scheme by ensuring businesses are correctly registered and paying accurate premiums.
The position
We are looking for an experienced and suitably qualified Financial Investigator to join our passionate and highly capable team in the Regulation group. Working alongside another Financial Investigator and the Premium Auditors all reporting to the Manager, this role involves:
- Identifying and responding to premium-related risks to the Scheme
- Understanding employer behaviour and developing programs to mitigate the risk of premium avoidance or underpayment
- Deep diving into data to leverage regulatory success
- Preparing quality reports and briefs of evidence where offences are identified

- Highly developed analytical and investigative skills
- Ability to analyse complex financial data and business accounts
- Significant experience in audit, insolvency or forensic accounting
- Proven capabilities in engaging with government and law enforcement agencies
- Demonstrated integrity and courage, with the ability to build trust and engage others in achieving team objectives

Special requirements/Conditions
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, commerce, or finance, CPA/CA qualified, strong written communication skills, ability to present sound arguments and recommendations autonomously.

The total remuneration package for this position is starting from $120,369 (exclusive of superannuation). The final offer will be commensurate with the successful candidate’s qualifications, skills and experiences.
