About the role
As a Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and monitoring infrastructure performance, security, and capacity throughout its lifecycle. You will design, install, upgrade, and configure infrastructure to meet evolving business needs, ensuring compliance with standards and best practices. The role involves responding promptly to incidents and service interruptions, including providing after-hours support when required. You will work closely with vendors and internal teams to deliver effective service outcomes and contribute to disaster recovery testing, documentation, and process improvements. Additionally, you will support testing activities to ensure changes meet requirements and maintain service availability.

What we're looking for
We are looking for someone with a relevant tertiary qualification and experience (minimum of 2 years) supporting hybrid environments such as Azure, AWS, and Microsoft 365. You should have a solid understanding of ITIL service management processes and demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a small team. Experience in incident management, vendor liaison, and mentoring other staff is highly desirable. A proactive approach to finding efficiencies and improving processes will set you apart.

This role will be a 2 year fixed term contract.

The total remuneration package for this position is starting from $101,481 (exclusive of superannuation). The final offer will be commensurate with the successful candidate’s qualifications, skills and experiences.
