The opportunity
As an Impairment Assessment Advisor you will provide advice, education and support on the consistent application of the impairment assessment guidelines, and undertake technical reviews of whole person impairment assessments. You will also monitor, manage and contribute to accredited assessor performance uplift by contributing to the delivery of a quality assurance and regulatory program using your technical expertise and stakeholder engagement skills.
The position
Reporting to the Manager, Provider Programs you will be responsible for;
- Conducting technical reviews of whole person impairment assessment reports ensuring they are consistent, objective and comply with all relevant legislation, guidelines and case law
- Critically analysing assessment reports against legislative requirements and case law
- Liaising with medical practitioners to resolve compliance issues
- Contributing to the maintenance and improvement of the technical review process
- Supporting accreditation and training of permanent impairment assessors
- Working collaboratively with external and internal stakeholders to achieve Scheme outcomes
This is a full time, ongoing role.
About you
You’ll be a great fit for this role if you bring:
- Strong relationship management skills with the ability to influence and build trust
- Expertise in interpreting, understanding, and clearly explaining legislation and case law
- Demonstrated analytical thinking and problem-solving capability
- A critical eye for reviewing medical reports against relevant standards, applying quality assurance principles
- Comprehensive knowledge of AMA5
- Qualifications or experience in allied health, law, or personal injury insurance (an advantage)

The total remuneration package for this position is starting from $120,369 (exclusive of superannuation). The final offer will be commensurate with the successful candidate’s qualifications, skills and experiences.
