The opportunity
This role provides the opportunity to collaborate with diverse teams, drive continuous improvement, and enhance service quality. You’ll gain valuable experience in risk management and operational controls while working with both internal teams and external providers to strengthen risk systems and support professional growth. You will play a key role in supporting internal and Claims Agents' risk and quality management system reviews, contributing to improved risk management and service quality. This role allows the successful candidate exposure to some of the core areas of the ReturnToWorkSA Scheme.

The position
This position plays an essential role in ensuring that the ReturnToWorkSA Insurance team and our Claims Agents have the required quality assurance, and risk management systems of work that will sustain and improve service delivery to empower and support South Australians impacted by work injury. Key responsibilities include:

  • Facilitate effective claims management and premiums risk and compliance practices with a focus on operational controls and quality systems
  • Integrate assurance requirements across the business and highlight risk exposure through thorough reporting and analysis
  • Provide support to improve service quality and technical claims management processes, and other internal operational processes within Insurance
  • Work across end-to-end systems of work to ensure the consistent application and embedding of ReturnToWorkSA’s risk appetite.

This role will be a full-time fixed-term contract until 31 August 2025.

About you
You are a highly analytical individual and your ability to evaluate systems of work in order to identify issues and risks and recommend improvements or efficiencies will be key to your success in this role. You have strong professional writing skills, with a good attention to detail. Your ability to critically evaluate frameworks and translate the context into operational processes will be beneficial. Previous experience or exposure to claims management, contract management, quality assurance/audit or risk management is advantageous but not essential.

The total remuneration package for this position is starting from $98,526 (exclusive of superannuation). The final offer will be commensurate with the successful candidate’s qualifications, skills and experiences.
