The opportunity
This position provides leadership to the Financial Reporting team, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. As the successful candidate you'll provide advice, undertake expert analysis, and make recommendations on complex financial matters, and oversee the preparation of financial reports. The successful candidate will play a key role in planning the financial year end, whilst making a direct impact on ReturnToWorkSA’s financial strategy and operations.
The position
Reporting to the Financial Controller, the successful candidate will lead and develop a high-performing team, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting. You will oversee monthly financial reports, balance sheet reconciliation, and cash flow monitoring. You will also be responsible for coordinating the preparation of annual audited financial statements and contributing to the organisation’s budget. Your expertise in PAYG, GST, and financial accounting will ensure compliance and best practices. You will drive process improvements, develop and implement finance policies and systems, and build strong relationships with key stakeholders.
This role will be offered as a full-time ongoing position.
About you
As the successful candidate, you will be highly motivated and possess strong leadership and communication skills. You will lead with integrity, have the ability to build trust, and engage with others. Your high attention to detail, sound judgment, and customer-centric approach will make you the ideal fit for this role. Familiarity with Technology One Financials or other accounting software is desirable.

Special requirements/Conditions
- Tertiary accounting qualification.
- CPA or CA qualified.
- Familiarity with accounting software, with Technology One Financials experience desirable.
- Experience in applying accounting standards.

The remuneration package for this position is starting from $122,664 (exclusive of superannuation). The final offer will be commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications, skills and experiences.
