At ReturnToWorkSA we are dedicated to fostering a culture of safety and wellbeing. As our WHS Advisor, you will be instrumental in driving our safety culture, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation, and continuously improving our safety management systems.

The position

Reporting to the Manager Human Resource Services, this role serves as a pivotal position, acting as the subject matter expert and providing counsel to the business to help maintain a healthy and safe workplace.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop, implement, and monitor the Work Health and Safety Management System driving  continuous improvement.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies Ensure compliance with all WHS legislative requirements
  • Provide expert advice and support to management and employees on WHS matters
  • Collaborate with Health and Safety (HS) Committee, HS Representatives, First Aiders and Wardens
  • Investigate incidents and accidents, recommending corrective actions
  • Foster a culture of safety through continuous improvement initiatives
  • Lead and facilitate safety training and awareness programs

This role will be offered as a part time position (up to 0.8FTE)

About you

You are a safety enthusiast with a proven track record in WHS program implementation. Your deep understanding of WHS legislation, ISO 45001 and standards, coupled with your excellent communication skills, allows you to effectively engage and influence others. You are proactive, detail-oriented, and thrive in environments where you can make a real difference. Ideally you will be a certified Return To Work Coordinator and have experience supporting injured employees successfully return to work.

Special requirements/Conditions

  • Tertiary qualifications in Work, Health and Safety or extensive experience in this discipline
  • Qualified Return to Work Coordinator
  • Experience with Tableau or other reporting tools (desirable)

The total remuneration package for this position is between $90,940 - $95,656, exclusive of superannuation (Pro-Rata). The final offer will be commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications, skills and experiences.
