The Opportunity
The Project Manager is responsible for leading project teams within ReturnToWorkSA to ensure timely and budget-friendly delivery of projects, system upgrades, and major enhancements.

As the Information Technology (IT) Project Manager you will join a vibrant culture and collaborate within a close-knit team of other IT Project Managers. We prioritise flexibility and a balanced workload where you will lead and manage 2-4 projects simultaneously, varying in size and complexity including cloud, infrastructure and software projects.

The Position
As a seasoned professional, you’ll collaborate across the organisation, working closely with internal stakeholders to identify and implement process improvement initiatives whilst selecting the most suitable delivery approach and project management methodology for each project.

Other day-to-day responsibilities include;

  • End-to-End Project Management: Defining project scope, goals, deliverables, timelines, and budgets.
  • Optimise risk management, mitigation and responses.
  • Tailoring your project management approach and applying Tailoring concepts
  • Supporting high-performing teams including formulating a method or course of action; plan appropriate allocation of resources.
  • Conduct regular steering committee meetings and ensure effective stakeholder engagement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.

Some infrequent out of hours work will be required during deployments, and potentially during technical changes and systems testing.

This will be a full-time fixed term contract for two years.

About You
Your project work will be guided by Project Management Methodology, ReturnToWorkSA’s Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC), and Tailoring principles. You are able to embrace adaptability and enable change when navigating complexity. You possess excellent communication skills and the ability to build trusting relationships with various stakeholders and you thrive in a culture of care, professional excellence, and accountability.

The successful candidate will bring:

  • Expertise in planning, managing, and delivering Information Technology projects
  • Familiarity with the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) gained through prior experience
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks in a timely and efficient manner
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to work effectively in an office environment, with flexibility for approximately 2 days WFH per week.

Special Requirements / Conditions
PMI Project Management Professional (PMP), PRINCE2, Certified ScrumMaster, or similar certification is highly desired but not essential.

The total remuneration package for this position ranges from $107,842 to $124, 707 (exclusive of superannuation). The final offer will be commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications, skills and experiences.
